Energy Economist from the Department of Nuclear Energy’s Division for Planning, Information and Knowledge Management, IAEA
Dr. Victoria Alexeeva is Energy Economist at the Planning and Economic Studies Section of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Victoria has been advising policymakers and stakeholders on various aspects of sustainable development. Her main area of expertise is related to the macroeconomic impact assessment of energy transition based on the application of large-scale models. Prior to joining the IAEA, she served in advisory capacity to the European Commission on decarbonization roadmap, emissions trading scheme, carbon pricing, carbon leakage and industrial competitiveness. Victoria holds a PhD in Environmental Economics from the University of Oldenburg and a MSc in Economics from the Humboldt University (Germany). She published broadly in the field of energy and climate change economics.
