Michelle in her current role works in collaboration with global partners and agencies to support governments to strengthen health systems to improve immunization coverage and equity, which includes improvements in sustainability and solarization, effective vaccine management, innovations in last mile delivery, waste management and improved data management and stock monitoring. She has been the programmatic focal point for the Cold Chain Equipment Optimisation Platform at UNICEF since it’s inception. Prior to this she led UNICEF’s cold chain work in Nigeria and also worked for CHAI in Malawi supporting the UN Commission on Life Saving Commodities. Michelle has experience in EPI in the public sector and has worked at almost all levels of the health system in her own country, South Africa. She also has private sector experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
