Ms. Katja Bühler

Katja Bühler is the Scientific Director of VRVis GmbH Vienna, an applied research centre for Visual Computing with the mission to bridge the gap between science and industry. She completed her Mathematics degree at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and holds a doctorate in Computer Science from TU Wien. Katja Bühler has many years of experience in the development of translational innovation and research strategies and their implementation in collaboration with industry and academia. Her Image Informatics research group merges interdisciplinary expertise in image analysis, AI, data mining, visualization, and human-computer interaction to create innovative, human-centered solutions for application areas such as medicine, life sciences, agriculture and manufacturing.
