Head, Centre for International Relations at Rosatom Technical Academy
Ms Alesia Iunikova is Director of the Centre for International Cooperation at Rosatom Technical Academy which is the Center of Excellence for building competence in nuclear engineering for the State Atomic Energy Corporation ‘Rosatom’ and providing training and advanced professional education of nuclear infrastructure personnel, contractors’ personnel, operating personnel of NPP and other industrial facilities being built abroad. Rosatom Tech is an official IAEA Collaborating Centre cooperating with 3 IAEA Departments NE, NA and NSS.
Ms Iunikova is an official contact point for coordination and implementation of the E&T activities under the Russian extrabudgetary contribution to the IAEA Technical cooperation project on Supporting Knowledgeable Decision-Making and Building Capacities to Start and Implement Nuclear Power since 2017, the contact point to the IAEA in the area of Emergency Preparedness and Response activities to be implemented in Russia as the IAEA Capacity Building Centre for Nuclear Safety, Radiation protection and Emergency preparedness and Chair of the WG B Education and Academics of the international Network for Education and Training on Emergency Preparedness and Response (iNET-EPR).
From 2014 to 2016 Ms Iunikova worked for the IAEA to support SMR activities and Utilization of RRs.
