He has a Doctorate in plasma physics (2003) and a PhD in thin film physics (2005) from the University of Linkoping in Sweden. Following post-doctoral research at Aachen University in Germany, he joined industry where he held the positions of Research and Innovations Manager. In 2011, he founded and managed a R&D company, and simultaneously occupied the position of Adjunct Professor for three years at the prestigious Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Science. Dr. Alami has more than 130 peer-reviewed publications and 30 patents and patent applications. He is board member of the International meeting on lithium batteries, organizer of several energy related international symposia and conferences such as ABAA, M4E, and ISACAPP and Vice President of the Moroccan energy research Consortium.
