Director, AUSTRIAN DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
Heinz Habertheuer is Director for “Programmes and Projects International” of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA). Prior to this assignment in January 2019, he was appointed as Head of the
ADA Coordination Office in Albania, Ethiopia and FYR of Macedonia (2008 – 2010). Earlier, he gained international experience as OSCE Human Rights Officer/Head of the OSCE Office in Zadar (Croatia) and was seconded to OSCE Missions to Kosovo. He served as Civil Affairs Officer with the United Nations in Kosovo and as Area Manager at the Electoral Department of the United Nations Mission to the Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa). Mr. Habertheuer holds Master’s degrees in Austrian Laws, European Studies and European Community Laws.
