Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining
Omar Paganini is the head of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining of Uruguay since March 2020.
An Electric Engineer by profession, he has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and courses at Stanford, Berkeley and Harvard University.
Before assuming as Minister, he worked in the private sector in areas related to the Ministry that he heads today.
He was an entrepreneur, director of an industry and consultant for the public company of telecommunications of its country.
He directed the Observatory of Energy and Sustainable Development of the Catholic University of Uruguay (UCU).
He also held different positions of hierarchy in the mentioned University, among which it stands out the directorship of the UCU Business School, a position he held until he was summoned by the President of the Republic to integrate his government.
