Council of Engineers for the Energy Transition (CEET)
Under the auspices of the United Nations Secretary-General, the Council of Engineers for the Energy Transition (CEET) is a global, high-level body of engineers and energy systems experts to contribute to the UN Secretary-General’s goal to build a coalition to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, and to the UN generally on engineering pathways to achieve comprehensive decarbonization by mid-century. The work of the CEET will be undertaken by an independent and impartial council of recognized global experts, serving in their personal capacity and responding to requests for information by the UN System.
Council on Ethanol Clean Cooking CECC
Over the next decades, the world will need to accelerate its shift to renewable cooking solutions aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals. This will involve cleaner bioenergy solutions (including biogas and bioethanol) and renewables-based electric cooking. This is the first event of the Council on Ethanol Clean Cooking (CECC) launched at COP 27 in Egypt jointly with Mali, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, and Kenya. CECC is a multi-stakeholder platform of developing country members, technical and development partners, and experts to share technical information and experience, including best practices so as to create a sustainable ethanol industry and associated value chains in member countries. It engages with developing countries (especially the high impact countries) on the topic of ethanol for clean cooking to increase their awareness and strengthen their ambition, and lead them towards achieving SDG 7 goal and meeting NDC commitments.

ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE)
The Ouagadougou Declaration, adopted at the ECOWAS Conference for Peace and Security on 12 November 2007 in Burkina Faso, articulated the need to establish a regional centre to promote RE&EE. At the conference, the Austrian Minister for European and International Affairs and UNIDO pledged support for the creation of such an agency. In 2008 the 61st Session of ECOWAS Council of Ministers adopted the regulation C/REG.23/11/08 and gave the ECOWAS Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) a legal basis.

ENERGIA, International Network on Gender and Sustainable Energy
ENERGIA is an international network of like-minded organizations and professionals, active in Africa and Asia, with one common vision: Women and men have equal and equitable access to and control over sustainable energy services as an essential right to development To achieve this, we: - contribute to energy access for all by scaling up the delivery of energy services through women-led micro and small businesses, - advocate for and provide technical support to mainstream gender approaches in energy policies and programs, - provide the evidence base for improving energy investment effectiveness through research, - raise awareness and enhance knowledge of issues related to gender and energy through networking and knowledge products. ENERGIA has been working on the intersection of energy access and women’s economic empowerment through its Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) program, aimed at supporting last-mile women energy entrepreneurs. In addition, ENERGIA has produced evidence on the multiple benefits that taking a gender approach and promoting women’s empowerment can have on the energy value chain through our Research Program. ENERGIA has used evidence and findings to inform policy and practice in our advocacy, lobbying and gender mainstreaming activities. Finally, ENERGIA has co-established the Gender and Energy Innovation Facility, to foster innovative approaches and maximize experimentation and learning.

The General Directorate for Natural Resources and Energy (DGRNE) is the Sao Tome Public Administration body whose mission is to contribute to the design, promotion and evaluation of strategic policies on water, energy and geological resources, with a view to sustainable development.

As a service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education work, GIZ is dedicated to shaping a future worth living around the world. They have over 50 years of experience in a wide variety of areas, including economic development and employment promotion, energy and the environment, and peace and security. The diverse expertise of their federal enterprise is in demand around the globe – from the German Government, European Union institutions, the United Nations, the private sector, and governments of other countries. GIZ works with businesses, civil society actors and research institutions, fostering successful interaction between development policy and other policy fields and areas of activity. Their main commissioning party is the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP)
Global Cleantech Innovation Programme promotes innovation and entrepreneurship in emerging markets and developing economies to address climate and environmental challenges. GCIP supports start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with innovative cleantech ideas in establishing and upscaling robust business models. GCIP also strengthens entrepreneurship ecosystems and facilitates partnerships and networking between private and public actors to ensure the long-term sustainability of its interventions.
Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO)
The Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO), with its permanent office domiciled in Beijing, China, is a international organization among willing firms, associations, institutions and individuals who are dedicated to promoting the sustainable development of energy worldwide. The purpose of GEIDCO is to promote the establishment of a GEI system, to meet the global demand for electricity in a clean and green way, to implement the United Nations “Sustainable Energy for All” and climate change initiatives, and to serve the sustainable development of humanity.
Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centres (GN-SEC)
The Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centers (GN-SEC) aim to accelerate the energy and climate transformation by creating economies of scales, equal progress and spill-over effects between countries. In partnership with Member States and other sub-regional players (e.g. power pools, utility organizations, regulatory authorities, regional banks), the centres work towards the creation of integrated regional markets for SECT products and services by setting targets, policies, standards and incentives, as well as de-risking of investments through the provision of reliable data, analytics, bundling of projects and convening power.
