Shaping an Inclusive Energy Transition: Hydrogen as a bridge between Europe and ‘the UNIDO countries’

There are many opportunities and benefits to be found in introducing (integrated) green hydrogen systems to developing regions and upcoming economies all around the world. Not only directly for the regions themselves but also for international markets and in respect to reducing global CO2 emissions. But how does this relate to the challenges (and threats?) involved in such undertakings in these regions? Who are the major stakeholders? Are expectations and priorities of the different stakeholders lined up enough or are there gaps to be bridged to get things going? What is practically feasible now, in the near future and in the long term? How does this relate to what is perceived as needed?
In this panel discussion field experts will top-down explore these topics starting from a geopolitical context and narrowing down to what this would mean for specific cases. Both in respect to specific technological and organizational concepts as specific regions. As example for this we will take a closer look at African-European relationships and the role concepts like Hydrogen Valleys can play in this among other possible subjects.
